Problems of Shrewsbury town centre to be taken to the Prime Minister
The problems of Shrewsbury town centre will be aired to Prime minister, Rishi Sunak at Chequers at the weekend.
Shrewsbury MP, Daniel Kawczynski, has been invited for brunch at the PM's country residence and says he will be urging him to bring in new legislation to give police more powers.
The MP met with John Campion, Police and Crime Commissioner last week in a bid to find solutions to the anti-social behaviour.
He said he would be telling Mr Sunak that in his 18 years MP he had never experience a worse situation in the town centre.
"Every day we hear of horror stories affecting local elderly people and young families as they attempt to walk along Pride Hill and other parts of our Town Centre," he said.
