Football tournament raises £300 for Cancer Research
A football tournament organised by a Shropshire taxi driver has raised more than £300 for Cancer Research UK.
Bogdan Cioara, from Shrewsbury, organised the seven-a-side tournament at Shrewsbury Sports Village on July 3.
Bogdan said he wanted to raise money for the charity after a number of friends had been diagnosed with cancer.
"It was a mini-tournament, with a number of teams playing in a mini-league," he said, adding that teams from across Shrewsbury and Telford had taken part.
