Fire at house in Montford Bridge
A fire at a house in Montford Bridge took more than two hours to bring under control.

A 999 call was made at 9.50pm on Saturday with three fire crews from Baschurch and Shrewsbury quickly on the scene Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus went into the property and found the seat of the fire involving the hearth and carpet in the ground floor lounge and first floor bedroom.
The fire was under control just after midnight.
