Man taken to Telford hospital after 'low-speed' crash near orthopaedic hospital

One person was taken to hospital in Telford after a "low-speed" crash on a narrow road near Shropshire's orthopaedic hospital.

The two-car crash happened on Wednesday morning at the junction of North Drive and Twmpath Lane near the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital at Gobowen.

Ambulance crews treated two men at the scene, before transporting one of the men to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford. The other man was discharged at the scene.

A statement from the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "Ambulance crews have treated two men after a low-speed road traffic collision outside the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Hospital in Gobowen.

"The incident happened at about 8.44am on Wednesday. Two ambulances were sent to the scene.

"One man was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to Princess Royal Hospital in Telford. The other man was assessed and discharged at the scene."
