On the agenda at Monday's development and planning committee are both the Oswestry Innovation Park and Shrewsbury's North West Relief Road.

While the town council is not a consultee in the relief road application, the public have been asked for their thoughts on plans for a new road proposed for the northern side of Shrewsbury.

A number of councillors at an earlier meeting called for the change to respond to the planning application to Shropshire Council.

There is a wide campaign against the new road by those who saw it will not help with traffic problems but will cause severe environmental issues in the countryside.

The proposed Innovation Park just off the Mile End Roundabout would see the phased building of industrial, business and hospitality units as well as a hotel, along with new roads and the other infrastructure needed for a business park.

Councillors will meet, online at 7pm on Monday.
