The inspector’s report also reaffirmed the establishment’s four star rating, as well as awarding an AA Merit Score of 81 per cent, higher than the UK average.

Around 4000 hotels across Britain & Ireland are recognised by the AA Merit Score providing consumers with the means of comparing hotels within the same star rating.

As well as complimenting the quality of the grounds of the hotel, the inspector was eager to congratulate the hotel on its refurbishment programme adding that both bedrooms and bathrooms were well presented and of a very good quality. The annual inspection also praised the housekeeping team for the cleanliness of the public areas and bedrooms.

Sebastiano Siddi General Manager of the Wynnstay Hotel and Spa said:

"We are so pleased to have received such positive feedback.

"The comments are a reflection of all the hard work and attention to detail that our team provides to each and every individual guest on a daily basis. The recent investment in the bedroom refurbishment programme is enabling us to offer our guests excellent accommodation and with more development and upgrades planned for the New Year, the hotel will continue to improve all of its facilities with the aim to receive further accolades."
