Inquests opened into man and woman found dead near Oswestry

The inquests into two people found dead at a house in a village near Oswestry have been opened.

Carly Louise Davies, 29, and Vincent Laws, 31, were found dead by police in a property at Erw Wen, Morda, shortly after 6pm on Saturday April 8.

Assistant Coroner Joanne Lees opened both inquests at Shirehall today.

Brief circumstances were given about the deaths.

Police attended an address in Erw Wen and found the bodies of Miss Davies and Mr Laws.

Both were confirmed deceased at the scene by a paramedic at 6.01pm.

Miss Davies was the occupant of the house, and Mr Laws, 31, was a self-employed builder who lived on the Isle of Wight.

Miss Davies's body was indentified by her mother on April 8, and Mr Laws' body was identified on April 11 by his father.

Coroner Miss Lees added: "I open the inquests and adjourn them until September 20."
