Shropshire firefighter crew called on to cut ring stuck on finger

Firefighters were called to remove a ring stuck on a person's finger.

Crews from Whitchurch were called at 4.15pm to the 'non-urgent' incident on Saturday.

A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue said: "At 16:15 on Saturday, 24 June, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as SSC Non Urgent in Whitchurch.

"One fire appliance was mobilised from Whitchurch.

"Attending crews used small gear. One ring removed from third finger of right hand using a ring cutter."
