Bryan Williams and his wife Tina have lit up their house in Edgebolton, Shawbury to raise money for Hope House Hospice

Bryan and Tina Wilson have been running their fundraiser for the Hope House Hospice outside their Shawbury home for at least 14 years.

The pair add more lights every year, and ask passers-by to donate whatever they can to the hospice by posting cash through the letterbox.

Mrs Wilson said: “We buy new lights every year, we got about eight new ones this time around. Our grandson goes to the Hope House, that’s why we do it.”

Bryan said: “Over the years we’ve raised about £20,000 for them. We’ll never pay back what Hope House have done for us but they appreciate it anyway.

“If people want to drive by and just have a look at it that’s their choice.

“But if people want to donate that’s great. If they want to donate a pound, I’ll take a pound.”
