Resurfacing work will take place on the A41 in Hinstock, near Market Drayton, from September 11 to October 20.

The work is set to take place overnight, between 8pm and 6am, but it is not yet known what type of traffic management measures will be put in place.

A statement by Shropshire Council said: "The site has been identified as requiring essential maintenance by a combination of condition data and local engineering knowledge.

"Shropshire Council is aware that major work of this type will cause some local disruption, therefore they intend to work restricted hours between 8pm and 6am in order to minimise disruption.

"There may be some traffic management left in place to protect the works and ensure driver safety outside of these hours if required.

"Shropshire Council will be letter dropping residents, business and farm owners in the coming weeks in order to make them aware and provide them with the opportunity to highlight any concerns they may have.

"In addition, mobile electronic advance notification signing will be erected at the roadside two weeks in advance of the works taking place."
