One day of emergency roadworks on A458 linking Shrewsbury with Mid Wales

Emergency one-day roadworks are in place on a crucial cross border A-road between Shropshire and Mid Wales.

The roadworks on the A458 westbound between the A5 near Shrewsbury and the Welsh border started on Friday morning.

The National Highways works were expected to be completed by 7pm on Friday.

Traffic was reported on the AA Traffic News website to be flowing freely on the route.
