Telford gran's praise for medics who saved baby's life
A Telford grandmother has praised the quick-thinking actions of doctors and midwives who she says helped to save her granddaughter's life.

Emma Rudge accompanied her daughter Lucy, 17, when she went to give birth at the town's Princess Royal Hospital.
Mrs Rudge, from Madeley, said although Lucy's labour started normally, the baby got stuck in the birth canal and became distressed.
She said: "It all happened so quickly, she was pushing for what felt like a lifetime and the baby became distressed, as did she.
"A junior consultant came in and many other nurses and midwives soon filled the room. You could tell something was wrong.
"They cut her open and got the baby out but she wasn't responsive.
"The doctor worked on Lucy to stop the blood flow and stabilise her while the midwives got to work trying to resuscitate her newborn daughter, it was a terrible time.
"They succeeded and rushed her to neonatal where she spent the first 36 hours of her life; my daughter didn't hold her until she was 12-hours-old.
Thankful
"However, without the wonderful staff, professional service and care they both received, it could well have been a very different story.
"I've got the highest praise for them.
"I know they saved my granddaughter's life."
Her granddaughter Aubree is now three and Mrs Rudge says she and Lucy, who both live with her, are doing well.
"Aubree is just amazing," Mrs Rudge said.
"Every day we are thankful for what those professionals did.
"It was a very worrying time for us too but they were really reassuring.
"It is an amazing service. They really do their best."
