Hosted by Oswestry Town Council the meeting will hear from Dr Simon Freeman, Accountable Officer for Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group.

Gill George a representative from campaigning group, Shropshire Defend our NHS, will also speak.

Oswestry mayor, Councillor Gill George said: "Come to the Wynnstay Hotel, Oswestry, at 7pm and ask your questions on this huge issue that will impact on health care in the future in Oswestry and the county of Shropshire."

The CCG's preferred option is to replace the accident and emergency units at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford, with an emergency care centre at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and urgent care centres in both hospitals.

Planned care would be centred at the Princess Royal.
