Hedgelaying standard impresses judges
Herefordshire YFC held their annual hedging match at Stall House Farm in the Golden Valley near Vowchurch by kind permission of the Layton family. Nineteen teams competed in four classes on a bright sunny day and the standard impressed the judges.
The Craswall club once again dominated the day, with members winning all four classes. Harvey Powell winning the singles class with Ed Turner from Dilwyn in second place. The Craswall pair of Will and George Jones won the Under 26 pairs, with the Under 21 class going to their club mates David Pritchard and Harry Jones. The Craswall complete sweep of the first places was achieved by the only girls team, Ellie Layton and Emily Williams who took first place in the under 26 Aided Class, with the Craswall Club members also picking up a second and a third.
