Firm celebrates its 30th birthday

Local agricultural machinery dealers RVW Pugh Ltd is this year celebrating 30 years in business.

To celebrate this landmark and rubberstamp its success Pugh's will be holding events throughout the year, including its annual open day in addition to some specialist machinery events to be announced shortly.

The business was first started by Robert and Caroline Pugh, directors of RVW Pugh Ltd back in 1978 manufacturing gates, doors, trailers and other fabricated products to farmers throughout the region.

When agricultural contracting and machinery repairs were added to the services provided, the business grew and staff were taken on to help Robert and Caroline.

Since 1983 the company has been involved in tractor sales and service with the smaller players in the market. The business then went from strength to strength, winning Same Deutz Fahr dealer of the year in 1990.

Following investing in their own purpose-built premises on a 3.7 acre site in 1998, including a main workshop, offices, stores and showroom area of 8,500 sq ft.

The extra capacity enabled RVW Pugh Ltd to increase the range of machinery offered to include leading brands of grassland and arable equipment, as well as a wide range of tools and accessories

Just two years later in November 2000 RVW Pugh Ltd was approached by AGCO to sell the Massey Ferguson and Fendt tractor brands throughout Shropshire and Powys.

In 2004 RVW Pugh Ltd expanded its territory to include Cheshire and North Staffordshire and has since grown to be one the largest AGCO dealers in the UK.

RVW Pugh Ltd has a hard working, passionate and dedicated team, working to provide you with excellent advice, sales, service and aftersales, with over 40 staff across the two branches.

Within that there are 12 people with 15 plus years experience in MF products - that's over 180 years of combined knowledge. Many of Pugh's staff come from an agricultural background, but a few have come into the business from other industries to bring fresh new ideas and expertise.

RVW Pugh Ltd now employs specialists in all areas of the business as it has grown too big for one person to be jack of all trades!
