Nearly 600 stores, calves and dairy cattle were sold, in addition to more than 700 beef and OTMS.

Market Drayton Livestock Market is trying to adopt a 'one-stop shop' for livestock marketing, offering fat and store stock sales all on the same day and under one roof.

As Bob explains: "We are also keen to develop our rural hub environment, acknowledging the needs of the farmer and giving them access to other goods and services on the same day, from our own professional services clinic to vets to an insurance company.

"Two new stalls are now ready for occupation. Interested parties should contact the market on 01630 652926."
