Protecting family businesses
Find out how Single Farm Payment can be the catalyst for change that will protect your farming family business from Gordon Brown.

This is the thrust of a series of "pie and pint" evenings organised by Balfours in conjunction with SASTAK, AMC and Shropshire Rural Hub, the first of which is this Thursday, April 19.
Four speakers will give short presentations demonstrating how to pass the business on to the next generation.
Trevor Sheard, of Balfours explains: "We will be addressing the pitfalls to be avoided when passing on the business; methods of minimising the 'Gordon Brown' effect; how single farm payment can be a catalyst for change and we will examine ways in which the business can adapt to provide an income for all the family."
Speakers include Rory Galliers and Trevor Sheard, of Balfours, Harriet MacKenzie-Williams, Dixon Sutcliffe and Gary Edwards, AMC.
The Thursday night Pie and Pint, evenings open at 6.30pm, for a 7pm start.
The first is on Thursday, April 19, at The Punch Bowl, Bridgnorth; on Thursday April 26 it is at The Station Inn Marshbrook and the one on Thursday May 3 is at The Pedigree, Oswestry.
