Route blocked as minibus and 4x4 collide on A49
A minibus and a 4x4 vehicle were involved in a collision which saw Shropshire's A49 blocked for almost two hours.
The two vehicles collided just north of Bromfield, near Ludlow, at about 2pm on Saturday. But none of the occupants in either the minibus or the Land Rover 4x4 sustained any serious injuries.
Significant damage was caused to both vehicles, with the driver's door, bonnet and front wheel of the 4x4 badly affected and the front of the minibus also damaged.
The road was blocked for almost two hours while emergency services worked at the scene to clear the area. The road was fully clear and open to traffic again by about 3.50pm.
It is not yet known how the accident happened.

Inspector Jane Fitzpatrick, from West Mercia Police, said: "The incident was reported to us at 2pm. When we arrived, an ambulance was already on scene.
"The roads were reopened fairly quickly."
An ambulance was sent to the scene but did not need to take anybody to hospital.
Meanwhile, fire crews were called out to a car fire in Telford in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The incident occurred in Church Street, Hadley, shortly after 1am.
One crew was called out to the scene from Wellington fire station and firefighters were able to deal with the car fire dealt with by 1.30am.
