Hollie Harrington, head of lacrosse at Moreton Hall School in Oswestry, will help lead England in the Under 19 World Cup Tournament this summer.

She will coach midfield, having played centre for England in the world cup eight years ago.

“I am so excited about taking the girls on this journey," said Miss Harrington.

"We have a fantastically talented squad who have made outstanding progress over the last four years. I am looking forward to watching them perform on the world stage.”

"Multiple training games against university and club teams will take place in preparation for the tournament in Canada in August," she added.

England World Cup Squad member Milly Home added: “Miss Harrington is such a great coach at the high performance level. Her people skills, knowledge and love of the game are perfect for her new role as World Cup Midfield Coach.

“She is respected and adored by all the Under 19 England Squad players."
