Telford drug driver caught behind the wheel while banned handed new disqualification

A disqualified drug driver has been given a suspended prison sentence and a new three-year driving ban.


Waqar Hussain, aged 31, from James Way, Donnington, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Fiesta in Colliers Way, Telford, on March 27 while disqualified and with more than twice the limit of cannabis in his blood.

Telford Magistrates Court, sitting on November 8, sentenced Hussain to eight weeks in prison but suspended the jail term for 12 months.
