£400 fine and road ban for Telford driver under influence of cannabis
A Telford motorist has been fined £400 after being caught driving under the influence of cannabis.
Petru Butoi, aged 38, was caught in a Volkswagen Golf in Wombridge Way, Telford, on September 17 last year.
A test found he had 11 microgrammes of Delta 9 THC - the main psychoactive part of cannabis - per litre of blood. The legal limit, taking into account the possibility of accidental exposure of the illegal Class C drug, is 2mcg.
