Jailed: Burglar stole vodka from well-known Shrewsbury wine merchants

A burglar who stole from one of the county's most well-known wine shops has been jailed.

Nicholas Besim, aged 36, targeted Tanners Wine Merchants in Wyle Cop, Shrewsbury, on August 5 this year, entering as a trespasser and stealing bottles of vodka to a value unknown.

Besim, of Croxteth Road, Bootle, Liverpool, pleaded guilty at Kidderminster Magistrates Court to one charge of burglary.

He was jailed for six months and ordered to pay Tanners £500 in compensation.
