Police are investigating after the mark, painted in black, was put up off Aston Drive over the weekend.

Telford & Wrekin Council have been informed about the mark and it is being removed.

Councillor Peter Scott, the town's mayor, said it was the second time there had been offensive graffiti in the town over the past two weeks.

"Last week it was bad language, this week it's a swastika," he said.

"If you have any idea who is responsible please call the police. Help us put a stop to anti social behaviour."

Police are asking for anybody with information to come forward.

People who saw someone with black spray paint or who were in the area while the mark was being drawn is asked to call police on 101.
