Raiders target Oswestry businesses
Raiders have targeted business in Oswestry town centre and on the town's industrial estate.
There were several burglaries and attempted burglaries between 7pm on Sunday and 7am on Monday on business units at Maes y Clawdd, Maesbury Road Industrial Estate. The police would not identify individual companies but said there were significant thefts and considerable damage.
In the town centre a travel agents in Beatrice Street, was broken into overnight overnight on July 12/13. Doors were damaged,a small amount of cash was taken and unsuccessful attempts were made to steal chained charity boxes.
An attempt was made to break into a hair salon in Church Street, Oswestry, between July 13-17. Locks and doors were damaged but no entry was reported.
