Nathan Prince, aged 24, was spotted in Telford on July 29 driving a black Vauxhall Astra.

He appeared via prison video link at the town's magistrates court having recently been jailed for biting off part of a man's ear during a separate incident.

Miss Jenny Winzor told the court that Prince, of Littlecroft, Oakengates, was seen by police officers behind the wheel of the car in nearby Stafford Road.

She added that he had been previously banned under the totting up procedure.

Prince previously admitted offences of driving whilst disqualified, having no insurance and no MoT.

Mr John MacMillan, mitigating, told the court that Prince was jailed for four years and two months last month for causing grievous bodily harm.

And that if he had been sentenced at the same time for the motoring matters he would have received a concurrent sentence.

He was initially jailed on September 6 for 'mutilating' a former friend during an incident on June 22 last year after a falling out.

He had admitted two charges of causing grievous bodily harm.

For driving whilst disqualified in Telford Prince was banned for the road for 12 months, jailed for two months to run concurrently, for having no insurance and no MoT there was no separate penalty. He was ordered to pay victim's surcharge £115.
