Telford company is targeted by burglars for third time
Bosses of a Telford firm today spoke of their frustration after being burgled for the third time in four months.
Wrekin Concrete Products, based at Ketley Business Park, has had property totalling almost £1,000 stolen from their mould shed.
It follows previous raids when electrical tools were stolen and property damaged.
Janet Latham, who carries out the administration for the company, said: "It is just so frustrating. You come in on the morning after and it is soul destroying.
"This is the third time this year. Most of the time it's mindless. A month or two ago someone stole the charger for a cordless drill and didn't even steal the drill."
In the latest raid, thieves stole a £300 compressor, a welder, a heater and a number of power tools after breaking into the mould shed.
Mrs Latham said the company has been at that site for four years and has been growing steadily but the burglaries are setbacks.
She said: "We have been growing bit by bit over the last few years and I think whoever keeps doing this has noticed that. We've been adding bits to the site and they must have noticed.
"When we first came here it wasn't that bad but over the last year or so it has happened more often. We probably get broken into once every couple of months."
Owner Julian Trumper said: "We have some CCTV cameras that got smashed earlier this year too.
"We are a local company that employs local people and it's annoying when this sort of thing happens.
"It's the hidden costs that really hurt you.
"For example, I've got to go out and replace things today but I've also got to spend time getting them, and cleaning up the shed because they've just trashed it."
Police are investigating the thefts. Anyone with information should call 101, quoting reference number 81S 290413.
