Plans were approved over two years ago for the two, three, four and five-bedroom homes to be built at Pool Hill Road and Doseley Road in Horsehay.

As part of the planning approval it was agreed that a total of £196,248 would be paid in a S106 agreement.

The money would be paid towards the provision of primary and secondary schools, money for road improvements and an upgrade to the park facility Shirefields Way or Dawley Park.

However, the property developer has now applied to have these financial contributions withdrawn and also reducing the amount of affordable housing on the site – due to the financial market.
