Farm group Wynnstay in £7.2m stores deal

Agricultural group Wynnstay has today announced the completion of a deal to buy out a farm stores group in south west Wales for £7.2 million.

The rapidly expanding Llansantffraid-based group, which also has a major base close to Shrewsbury, has been continuing its expansion with a number of individual acquisitions in England in the last year.

Now it has turned its attention to south west Wales with the buyout of Carmarthen and Pumsaint Farmers Limited, which has seven stores selling agricultural goods and last year posted revenues of £23.9 million and a pre-tax loss of £366,000.
