BBC journalist John Sargeant with Bill Dunphy and Carlo MatarazzoShropshire entrepreneurs Bill Dunphy and Bob Forsyth have beaten numerous sign companies across the UK to win the highly prestigious Sign Business of the Year Award.

Awarded by the British Sign Association, the award is given to the sign company that shows the most impressive overall performance in terms of customer care, financial growth and signage quality.

Former BBC political correspondent and Strictly Come Dancing celebrity, John Sargeant presented the award to the joint managing director of Signs Now UK, Bill Dunphy and Birmingham branch manager, Carlo Matarazzo.

The company was set up by Mr Dunphy, of Childs Ercall, and Bob Forsyth of All Stretton.

The judges were particularly impressed by the passion of the Signs Now staff to deliver the highest standards of service to their customers, resulting in repeat business accounting for around 80 per cent of all the company's projects.

Client testimonials and photography of completed projects for small to medium-sized enterprises, blue chips and the education sector also proved to be decisive elements in winning the award.

Bill said: "There are around 10,000 sign makers in the UK so winning the Sign Business of the Year Award is a fantastic accolade. Great credit goes in particular to our managers and staff. The award is proof positive that their hard work continues to set us apart from other sign companies."
