Bar used in road attack

A man used a crowbar to smash a window in a road rage attack near Oswestry.

Police said an old-style 4x4 tailgated a Volkswagen Golf on the A5 after being overtaken by it. The 4x4 then overtook the Golf, with the 4x4's passengers making obscene gestures as they passed.

When the vehicles reached the Gledrid roundabout, a man got out of the 4x4 with a crowbar and smashed the driver's window on the Golf.

Police said no-one was hurt in the incident, which happened on Friday, between 11pm and 11.55pm.
