A man has denied assaulting and trying to rob someone while having a knife in his possession in Shrewsbury.

Luke Pritchard, aged 26, appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court accused of wounding with intent, attempted robbery and possession of a knife.

The charges relate to an incident in Mary Webb Road, Meole Brace on April 24 this year in which Pritchard is accused of trying to rob cash from a man.
