Child rescued from locked car in Shrewsbury by fire service

Fire officers have rescued a child locked in a car in Shrewsbury this morning (May 6).

The crew was called to Albert Road in the town shortly after 8am - Tuesday, May 6.

An update from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said they had been alerted to a child being locked in the car and sent a crew from Shrewsbury Fire Station to the scene.

They added that the team used small tools to release the child and declared the incident over by about 8.25am.
