The Cottage on Spa Road, Llandrindod Wells has applied for permission to work on a tree that is covered by a tree preservation order.

The town council considered the application to reduce the height of the tree and to remove any dead, damaged and diseased wood, at a meeting recently.

Councillor Chris Owen (Blue) said: “It appears the work has been requested by the Trunk Road Agency on health and safety grounds so they have got to get this work done.”

He proposed no objection to the plans and other members agreed not to raise any objections.

Powys County Council will make the final decision on the plan
