Car leaves road before crashing into bush in Telford - driver had no licence or insurance

A motorist who careered off a Telford road and went through a bush was found to be driving without a licence and insurance, police said.

West Mercia Police PCSO in Hadley and Leegomery Jordan Newborough reported the crash on Grainger Drive in Leegomery on Monday (January 13).

A vehicle had left the road and crashed through a bush. When police arrived the driver was found to have no valid driving licence or insurance. 

The post on Monday evening said: "Earlier today, officers responded to a report of a vehicle that unfortunately came off the road and crashed through a bush on Grainger Drive, Leegomery.

"Luckily no-one was injured but upon investigation, it was discovered that the driver was operating the vehicle without a driving licence and as a result was also uninsured.

"Driving without a licence or insurance is not only illegal but also puts everyone at risk. We urge all drivers to ensure they meet the legal requirements before getting behind the wheel."
