Tennis club plan to demolish and rebuild 'dilapidated' clubhouse
A Shropshire tennis club have applied to knock down their clubhouse and rebuild a smaller one on the same site.
High Ercall Tennis Club, between Telford and Shawbury, have applied to Telford & Wrekin Council to knock down their clubhouse.
The application, submitted by chartered surveyors Haston Reynolds Ltd on behalf of the club, states the existing 9.9m by 7.6m clubhouse is "dilapidated" and no longer fit for purpose.
According to the planning documents, High Ercall Tennis Club have been exploring "numerous options" for its replacement for "a number of years".
Now, they propose knocking it down and building a smaller clubhouse within its footprint.
