Shirtless man threw tiles at police negotiator in stand-off after wielding kebab knife at Telford corner shop
A man brandished a kebab knife in a corner shop and clambered onto a roof for a stand-off with police.
Topless Brett Jamieson, aged 25, threw tiles and moss down towards police, hitting an on-call negotiator during an hour-long confrontation in Telford.
That came a couple of days after he went rampaging through a corner shop with a knife, prompting a worker to call the police.
Shrewsbury Crown Court was told how at around 8.40pm on June 15 last year, a member of staff from the Premier store in Southgate, Sutton Hill, called 999 after a man burst in through the rear of the shop. It was Jamieson, who had picked up the knife from a local kebab shop.
He ran off to nearby Sandcroft, where armed officers rushed to arrest him.
