Students play traders at Goldman Sachs
Three sixth form students from Shropshire’s international school spent a day at the London office of a leading global banking investment firm.

Concord College’s Katie Ho, 18, a day student, Chloe Ho, 18, and Kate Rudzka, 19, visited Goldman Sachs on a ‘Girls Inspire Programme’ which included a series of lectures and workshop activities.
The focus of the day was on ambition and the students were given an overview of the roles of successful and high flying women within Goldman Sachs as well as their routes into the jobs and their responsibilities.
Chloe said: “The one day event introduces final year female A level students to a unique combination of experiential learning, mentorship and university readiness.
“The day’s programme was very beneficial. It not only gave us an insight into the investment banking sector and the variety of opportunities available. There were also tips on improving your personal brand.”
Kate said: “It was interesting how one of their managers had become a success in her career as well as being a mother. She said combining her career and family had made her more productive in both.”
Katie added that the trio competed in a trading game which they won by making a profit of £11,000.
