Shropshire calendar man David makes it a date with fish supper for supporters
Shropshire cancer patient David Ison thanked all his supporters who have helped him raise more than £1,400 for charity – by treating them to a slap-up meal of fish and chips.
David was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2011 and told he had six months to live.
The 46-year-old, who was a computer programmer in Scotland, then moved back in with his mother, Gillian, in Shropshire.
In 2014 David was told for a second time he had only six months to live, so he decided to start cycling from his home in Muxton, Telford, to the Duke of Sutherland's monument at the top of Lilleshall Hill.

While doing this every Sunday morning, he decided to take a picture from the hill to show the different seasons.
From this he decided to turn the pictures into a calendar, which has been on sale since November and has so far raised £1,470 for Severn Hospice.
David held a fish and chip supper at Muxton Community Centre to thank everyone who has helped him raise the money.
"It was the least I could do," he said. "I could not have raised the money without all of the local businesses selling my calendar.
"All these shops that have been selling my calendar must get many charity requests, but I am so happy they decided to sell mine. So the meal is all about saying thank you to people who have helped me raise the money."
David also says he is doing well and recently found out he will not need any chemotherapy for a while and that he hopes to return to work one day.
