Special broadcast of Shrewsbury Christmas lights switch-on
Salopians will be able to enjoy Shrewsbury's Christmas lights switch-on from wherever they are in the town.

The festivities will be broadcast around the town for the first time from strategic points in a bid to avoid the congestion problems experienced last year.
The event, which takes place tomorrow, is organised by Shrewsbury Town Council in partnership with Shrewsbury Shopping Centres and Shropshire Council, and is sponsored by Shrewsbury BID.
Shrewsbury Town Council will set up simultaneous transmissions of the lights' countdown and other festivities which will be broadcast from loudspeakers positioned outside the Darwin Shopping Centre and St Alkmund's Square.
The entertainment kicks off from 5pm and the official lights countdown starts at 6.30pm when there will be performances, a lantern parade and for the first time Shrewsbury's Eat Street will take part in the festivities.
Suzi Wilkinson, marketing & promotions officer for Shrewsbury Town Council, said: "With free entertainment and free parking in selected car parks from 4pm Shrewsbury's Christmas Cracker is set to be a real cracker of an event so come along and help kick start the festive season with a bang."
