Trains delayed by emergency repairs
Rail passengers faced slower journeys this afternoon after emergency repairs had to be carried out on the line between Machynlleth and Caersws in Powys.

Arriva Trains Wales cancelled or delayed services between Newtown and Aberystwyth as a result of the repairs, putting on replacement buses during the afternoon.
Services were disrupted from 11.30am until 1.50pm.
There were also delays to services between Manchester Oxford Road and Newtown due to a speed restriction between on some westbound lines.
