Watch: CCTV shows vicious assault at Shrewsbury station
Police have released CCTV footage that shows a brutal attack at Shrewsbury railway station.
In the video two men appear to be grappling in the station forecourt before one knocks the other to the ground with a vicious punch.
British Transport Police have shared the video in an attempt to jog the memory of any witnesses who are yet to come forward.
The assault took place just after 4.30am on Sunday, August 30 and left the 23-year-old victim with his jaw fractured in two places.
The victim had been on a night out and gone to meet a friend at the station when he began talking to three men. One of these men then suddenly attacked him.
Investigating officer PC Dave Hall said: "Despite the fact the incident happened during the early hours, I am convinced someone would have seen this group in the vicinity of the railway station.
"Just a few seconds after the attack, a car can be seen driving past. Was this you? If so, you may have seen or heard something which could prove vital to our investigation."
