Officers say there are three suspects to the attack, aged eight, 12 and 15, which happened on the playground at Longlands Community Primary School's pre-school in Market Drayton.

Vandals also smashed a table and ripped up young trees as part of the attack, which happened on May 31.

Market Drayton Safer Neighbourhood Team tweeted: "Suspects for the damage at Longlands forest school are eight, 12 and 15. One urinated over the play equipment.

"They caused £660 worth of damage."

The damage caused to the play area was discovered after a neighbour reported suspicious activity in the area to police.

Sam Scott, speaking on behalf of the school, described the vandalism as "devastating".

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
