It is not every day you get photo-bombed by a five-time Olympic champion.

But that was just one of the unforgettable experiences enjoyed by Shropshire amateur golfer Steve Bagshaw at one of golf's top events.

Steve, 53, who plays out of Worfield Golf Club, was part of a team playing at the BMW classic pro-am at Wentworth in front of 25,000 spectators.

One of the perks of the day was meeting the host of celebrities taking part in the event. While posing with former England, Bath and Gloucester rugby star Mike Tindall, who is married to royal Zara Phillips, rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave decided to get in on the act.

Steve, from Shawbirch, said: "It was a great day. I had my photo taken with about 100 different people and it was a day I will never forget.

"Being photo-bombed by Steve Redgrave was a real bonus."

The star-studded event attracted a host of top names from the world of entertainment and sport.

They included One Direction's Niall Horan and former Manchester United stars Paul Scholes and Gary Neville.

Steve earned his chance to play in the event by triumphing in the BMW society tournament at the Berkshire Golf Club in Ascot.

He was part of a team led by Indian European tour professional Anirban Lahiri.
