Drinks and nibbles will be on offer when a public meeting takes place on Monday between 5pm and 7pm at the Ludlow Brewery.

Officials from Ludlow Food Festival have organised the get-together to encourage more people to help out.

Beth Heath, operations director for Ludlow Food Festival, said: "We've organised a public meeting for Monday at the Ludlow Brewery and we hope as many people as possible attend.

"We need more recruits to help out at this year's food festival from September 12-14. It's our 20th anniversary so it's a really important occasion and we're hoping as many people as possible help out.

"We need people who can carry programmes, help out at the entrance and exit, help the exhibitors and do other things. The more the merrier."

Mrs Heath added that organisers of the event had pulled out all the stops to make the 20th anniversary festival an event to remember.

She said: "We've got plenty for kids, lots of great exhibitors, chef demonstrations and much more besides. We're hoping plenty of people turn up on Monday as we start the countdown to the festival."
