Huge blaze drama at two Shropshire cornfields
Firefighters battled for more than an hour to put out two blazes in fields.

An initial report of fire in Cross Houses, near Shrewsbury, was received at 3.28pm yesterday. Fire engines from Shrewsbury, Baschurch, Much Wenlock, Telford and Wellington were dispatched to the two cornfields.
A spokeswoman said: "We received calls reporting straw on fire in Cross Houses. Fire appliances from Much Wenlock were mobilised.
"Eight other appliances were mobilised to the large fire involving two cornfields."
The fire was extinguished at 4.38pm.
Fire crews were also called to Pulley Lane, Meole Brace, near Shrewsbury, at just after 5.30pm yesterday.
Approximately 200sqm of field stubble were on fire and firefighters from Shrewsbury extinguished it by 6.18pm.
