Visitors to Asda, in Donnington Wood, were told to leave the store just before 4pm when the alarms were triggered.
A fire engine from Telford attended the scene but it was discovered to be a false alarm and shoppers were allowed to re-enter the store.
An Asda spokesperson said: "The fire alarm was triggered but we were back up and running within 20 minutes. The store was evacuated as a precaution."
A spokesperson from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that a fire engine was called to the scene at 3.49pm after the fire alarms had been triggered by heat from an oven.
