Bargain Hunt team film at auction house in Shropshire
They have scoured an antique s fair in Shropshire – and today the team from TV's Bargain Hunt descended on a Shrewsbury auction house to sell their wares.
Presenter Tim Wonnacott, along with a film crew, were at Halls Fine Arts Auction House at Battlefield filming the hit show.
Celebrity antiques expert Mr Wonnacott returned to Halls' Battlefield headquarters and salerooms – the site where he performed the opening ceremony in March last year after the business moved from its town centre location.
The flamboyantly bespectacled presenter
and the Bargain Hunt team began filming yesterday and were concluding today during an interiors and collectable ceramics auction.
Halls' fine art director Jeremy Lamond, who has himself appeared on the programme as an expert in the past, said he had been looking forward to welcoming Mr Wonnacott and his crew back to Halls and was hoping for a good attendance for the auction.
Another member of the company's fine art team, Aaron Dean, interiors saleroom valuer and auctioneer, is currently a behind the scenes valuer on the Flog It series.
Details of the filming have been kept under wraps – unlike when filming took place at the regular Amulet Antiques Fair at the Oswestry Showground last weekend.
Three of the regular BBC television shows were filmed over the weekend, featuring 12 competitors who came from across the country. The crew also filmed a special episode to be used as part of the Children in Need programmes in November.
The winner of the show, and the outcome of the filming at Halls, will not be revealed until the show is screened on a date to be fixed later this year.
