Dance night for Ludlow music fans
Folk band Shooglenifty will be bringing their own brand of foot-stomping action to Shropshire next week.
The Scottish group, which has gigged all over the world, will appear at Ludlow Assembly Rooms on February 15 from 8pm. Assembly Rooms spokesman Tony Johnston said: "These godfathers of Celtic dance have taken their fiery, infectious blend of traditional folk music and funky grooves all over the world.
"Shooglenifty have performed in Cuba, Beirut, Japan, Glastonbury and their hometown of Edinburgh.
"Their inventive sound features banjos, mandolins, fiddles and electric guitars, melding heritage and hedonism into one unbreakable whole that will have people jigging and reeling till late in the night."
