Problems hit Midlands railway network
Signalling and power supply problems, a broken down train and "poor rail conditions" led to delays and over-crowding today.

A broken down train at Birmingham New Street blocked platforms, leading to delays to services from Telford.
There were also delays to services travelling south from the Midlands because of signalling problems.
