Seeing double at Telford twins' Christmas party

You could have been mistaken for seeing double this weekend as two dozen sets of Telford twin toddlers met for their annual Christmas party.

From just five months through to five years the babies, tots, toddlers and pre schoolers enjoyed music, magic, puppets, singing and dancing as they were entertained by Bridgnorth-based Picklelily Circus.

Organisers of the party, The Telford Twins or More Group, also requested a visit from Father Christmas himself.

Following their picnic lunch and to the sounds of sleigh bells ringing, Santa arrived to join the little ones' lively gathering and to hand out their double presents.

Louise Bradley, who runs the group, said, "We really enjoyed our party this year. The turn out was fabulous and all the children were very excited. It's been a real joint effort this year to organise this special event for so many little ones, so role on Saturday".

The Telford Twins or More Group is a weekly club for parents of twins, triplets and more in Telford and the surrounding areas.

The club has run for over 12 years and is a voluntary organisation run by parents of twins for families of multiples.

Its aim is to offer support, information and advice to parents and prospective parents of multiples plus weekly play sessions for the children.

The group meets on Tuesday from 10am to 11.30am at Hadley Learning Community.
